Originally hailing from Leeds in Yorkshire (UK), Kjeld (pronounced Kel) is a passionate life-long cyclist and ex- mountain bike racer. He moved from his native England to NYC in 1999 and then to L.A. in 2003, and has been a resident of Mt. Washington since 2004.
In 2017, Kjeld, along with his business partners, opened up à bloc, a cycling themed cafe in Highland Park. His latest endeaver allows him to channel his passion for cycling culture, coffee, and food together into one space; and help build a community for people to enjoy all three. He is the founder of the independent cycling apparel brand superdomestik.cc which has its HQ and Flagship Retail Store within à bloc, and you can often find his cycling photography in pelotonmagazine.com.
Kjeld’s commitment goes beyond supporting us on trail work days. He has donated swag, coffee, event space, etc. to help us along as we continue to grow. Kjeld has the business experience and financial savvy to help propel MWBA to the next level.
