Trail Boss, Matt Lay

Matt LayMatt Lay was invited to join MWBA’s Board of Directors in 2013. Some may argue he is the most important board member as he procurs most of our raffle items for our annual fundraiser, the Pancake Breakfast!

Matt is MWBA’s Trail Boss and organizes our trail work days. If there is a spot you think needs work, feel free to stop into Pasadena Cyclery and let him know or send an email to [email protected].

Matt has been an advocate for trail etiquette and maintenance for years. Working at Pasadena Cyclery since 2004, Matt’s efforts to educate and promote has been far reaching and effective. Matt also directly impacts our new and young riders. He is a coach for the SGV Composite team with the Southern California High School Cycling League.

Matt has ridden all over the country on his Trek Remedy. Some of his favorite trails include The Whole Enchilada in Moab, UT., Zippity-Do-Dah in Fruita, CO and of course, any one of our local  trails in the San Gabriel Mountains.
